How does it work
The air is aspirated by the device through two noiseless axial fans and it is subjected to an intense germicidal UV-C radiation field (wavelength- 254 nanometers) inside the device, through a WORLDWIDE PATENTED (WO 02/076517) coil system. By damaging the Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) of the microbes, it kills and inactivates 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and spores in the air; the sterilized air is then ready to be safely released into the room. With a continuous change of air, it can make a total disinfection of the room air in 20 minutes.
Patented UV-CHRIS design
The patented UV-CHRIS (UltraViolet High Reflection Coil Irradiation System) delivers a concentration of ultraviolet radiations up to 400% times higher than the standard linear flow devices available in the market.
In the system, five UV lamps of 25 watts each are arranged in a multi-stadium horizontal way and each is completely surrounded by reflective mirrored stainless steel labyrinth panels to increase light intensity four times the initial generated UV-C rays. This strong UVC irradiation is applied on air which flows in a ‘coiled’ manner through a 2.8-meter path, efficiently eliminating up to 99.99% (Tests show a virtual 100%) of bacteria, viruses and spores present in the air.
Other features include:
- An internal silencer reduces the noise which makes the operation lower than an ordinary air conditioning system
- An electrical control switch allows to set times for the automatic starting and stopping of the device, both daily and weekly.
Safety
It can be kept working 24 hours a day regardless of the presence of persons: no fraction of the germicidal radiation can in fact strike directly to eyes and skin, as the radiation is contained inside the device; unlike those systems with UV-C radiates to the surroundings, this device guarantees a total operative safety for users. There is also a safety anti-opening switch control that switches off the UV light in the event that the box is accidentally opened.
Simple Maintenance
No risky handling or replacing contaminated filter
Stainless steel panel can be easily cleaned with detergent.
Maintenance is minimum: a change of lamps every 8000 hours, with an average duration of THREE years for office-time use (based on daily usage of 9 hours, five days in a week).
